INDONESIAN GAMELAN
Most gamelan musicians learn multiple instruments concurrently. I have some experience playing various instruments, such as the suling (bamboo flute), ciblon (drum), gendèr (metallophone), and bonang (kettlepots), among others. I've performed as both a soloist, as well as an instrumentalist with various ensembles around the world.

I also have experience leading and guiding rehearsals as well as workshops. Check out the gallery for photos of my performances. I am also able to offer advice for getting in touch with local gamelan ensembles for performances/instrument rental, etc.
I've taken formal gamelan lessons with Mas Darsono Hadiraharjo (Solo, Indonesia), Mas Iswanto Mento Martono (Solo, Indonesia), and Dr Wayan Sudirana (Bali, Indonesia). My Singaporean gamelan teachers include Ms Joyce Teo, Ms Anne Choo, and Mr Thow Xin Wei.
